Community Wealth Building - what is it and how to have your voice heard?
You may have noticed that the Scottish Government are consulting on the legislation around Community Wealth Building.
The Programme for Government 2021-22 confirmed plans to introduce legislation on Community Wealth Building during this Parliamentary session. The legislation will accelerate the delivery of Community Wealth Building across Scotland and address blockages identified by the areas and organisations leading the implementation of Community Wealth Building.
For this reason, its important that our members are heard. We need to share the invaluable knowledge and barriers members experience to ensure that the Community Wealth Building legislation works for all.
Regardless of your knowledge on the subject, we would love to see you at our online event on 11th April from 2pm. This session will offer an introduction to Community Wealth Building, what it is and allow you to share your opinions on how the legislation should be shaped.
The Hub will then take responses and submit a joint response to Scottish Government. You can read the consultation details in advance here. In addition, you can read the consultation survey so you’re familiar with the questions being asked.

Just a quick reminder - Seed Swap Extra opened at Elphin Tea Rooms onWednesday, 5th April, and runs over Easter until 13th. The Tea Rooms are open from 10.30am - 4pm every day. The seed stock has been refreshed and replenished, lots of new kinds of seed added in. So why not treat yourself to a trip out with lovely refreshments and amazing seeds to choose from.
